Soulic Paradox emerged as an indie rock band under the leadership of Jean L in 2017. Prior to this endeavor, Jean had founded and served as the vocalist of an indie rock cover band named Pure Sound. While the other band members wished to continue in the realm of cover songs, Jean's passion leaned towards crafting original compositions. This discrepancy in the band's vision prompted Jean to seek like-minded musicians eager to create their own music, yet this proved to be an insurmountable challenge at the time.

Faced with this dilemma, Jean decided to embark on his solo musical journey, a first for him, although he encountered numerous obstacles. The early 2000s were characterized by limited technology in home recording studios. Jean departed from the music industry and relocated to the United States. Amid the hustle and bustle of life, his unwavering passion for music remained intact.

In 2016, Jean faced personal setbacks, including the end of his marriage and a period of homelessness. This proved to be one of the most challenging phases of his life; however, with time, he managed to restore a semblance of normalcy.

One day, curiosity drove Jean to explore the advancements in music production technology, and to his pleasant surprise, he discovered that it had finally caught up with his expectations, ushering in the era of the home studio. This realization sparked his determination to learn the intricacies of music production and audio engineering. His passion for music was reignited.

Nonetheless, Jean soon realized that the endeavor was formidable due to the multifaceted nature of the task. There are tons of things to learn for music production. Now, he grappled with an array of instruments, in addition to recording, arranging, composing, songwriting, mixing, and mastering.

His maiden single, "Over The Sense," required approximately 3 months of persistent effort to complete. Jean remained in a constant state of learning, dedicating himself tirelessly. Song by song, he forged ahead and within 18 months, his inaugural album titled "Compilation Shot" was ready, comprising a total of 11 original tracks.

In his pursuit of learning and self-challenge within the realm of music production, Jean conceived another project, "Elven Net," offering diverse genres of instrumental music to enrich his creative horizons.

In 2021, Jean pieced together yet another album, encompassing a collection of 8 songs. His most recent creation, titled "Awakening," centers on the themes of self-discovery and empowerment, urging listeners to recognize their innate potential. The sound of Soulic Paradox predominantly gravitates toward hard rock, adorned with symphonic elements and touches of ancient cultural instruments. Jean also released 4 full albums and 1 EP under Elven Net, totaling 44 compositions. Elven Net’s music is ideally suited for promotional videos, commercials, movie trailers, and social media content. Furthermore, numerous unreleased tracks are available across Elven Net’s popular social media platforms.

Despite his belief that his music is still in an experimental stage, Jean's listeners might argue otherwise. Each of Jean's creations is a blend of creativity, inspiration, and a distinct narrative.

"Musicians are messengers; we possess the opportunity to convey various messages to people. This is why the message and the story hold significance within each composition. I firmly believe that everyone harbors the potential to achieve their aspirations and uncover truths, yet they might not have realized it yet," Jean remarked. He added, "I aspire to be one of these messengers, striving to convey these crucial messages to everyone."
